Summer is here and we’re getting ready for our summer camping experience. This year we’ll be at Geneva State Park, on Lake Erie in Ashtabula County. The pack will be doing a one hour community service project for the State Park on Saturday morning, but after that it’s fun in the sun and on the beach! The pack has primative camping spots reserved, but there is also a very nice state park lodge down the road from the camping area. Families are welcome to stay at the lodge and just come down the road to hang out with the pack.
The cost of the campout will be $10/person or a maximum of $25 (to cover food expenses). We need to keep the turnout to around 35-45 people so please RSVP early. When you RSVP, please let us know if you will be camping or staying at the lodge.

The Fall campout is almost upon us. Make sure you keep an eye on the weather and adjust your packing list accordingly. We will have Cabin 8 available for people who do not want to camp outside. If you are going to stay in the cabin and do not have sleeping bags, at a minimum bring some sheets for bunk beds and heavy blankets to stay warm. There will be heat in the cabins, but better safe than sorry.

I’ve revised the Pack Event Calendar for 2008-2009. Where possible, I’ve consolidated pack meetings to coincide with planned activities to save people their monday nights. If you spot any errors in the calendar, please feel free to call or email me with corrections.
Pack 11 Calendar 2008 2009 (revised 10-20-2008)
Located in Lake County approximately 35 miles east of Cleveland, Camp Stigwandish offers over one hundred acres of wilderness for year-round camping, hiking and Scouting. Located along Mill Creek (which flows into the nearby Grand River), Camp Stigwandish features a forest of over 100 varieties of trees and many forms of wildlife.
Pack 11 has reserved the Rotary Cabin along with Cabin 1 (see attached map). The camp trading post is not too far and is expected to be open at some time during our stay.
There are hiking trails and lakes. Indian Lake is closest to our cabins and we have had many hours of good fishing there during prior campouts.
Plan to arrive at camp after 7pm on Friday.
Here are directions to camp.
Here’s a map of Camp Stigwandish. When packing, please consult the Stigwandish Checklist.

Due to unfavorable weather conditions (i.e. warm and wet) the Winter campout has been postponed. The consensus by the pack leadership is that the 32 degree+ weather, coupled with the wet conditions would create extremely muddy and damp conditions that would make the experience pretty misearble. The hope is to reschedule the campout for later in February or early March. More information will be provided at the February pack meeting.
Winter Campout 2008 - Plan of the Weekend
The weekend of February 2/3 is quickly approaching! We’re all looking forward to a fun weekend “enjoying” the snow and having the chance to test our mettle sleeping outside like our pioneering fathers did. You can download a copy of the plan of the weekend (POTW). Be sure to read it closely and bring the proper gear. Remember we are staying close to home so if the weather gets really miserable you can either hop in your vehicle and warm up for a bit or even bail out for the weekend.
Pack 11 Calendar 2007-2008
The pack has put together an event calendar for 2007-2008. The calendar is subject to updates, but we will let people know at pack meetings when something has changed and then provide a new version on this site for download.
Welcome to the Cub Scout Pack 11 website. Hopefully by the end of November this website will be fully functional and ready for use by the pack! Looking forward to improving communication with the scouts and their parents and making this year the best one yet.
